LST 320 for Machining Inconel and Nickel Based Superalloys

Nickel based superalloys components are used primarily in the aerospace, power, gas and processing industries. These materials are mainly used where high strength and hardness at high temperatures in corrosive environments are required- for example in turbine combustion chambers or in gas and process industry joints and flanges.

For machining these materials, such as Inconel, the SiAlON cutting material LST 320 is an excellent alternative to whisker-reinforced ceramics for roughing and semi finishing.
