Ultrasonic Transducers for Therapy

Our ultrasonic therapy transducers offer cost-effective, high-efficiency performance with low self-heating. Our ultrasonic therapy transducers are used for a wide range of therapy applications including equipment for massaging, skin treatments and soft tissue therapies.

 

Transducers can be configured over a range of frequencies, drawing from a broad range of housing materials for a variety of treatment modalities. Production test capability includes full electrical parameter determination, acoustic power output and beam angle / beam non-uniformity ratio (BNR) determination.

Operating frequency: in range 500 kHz to 5 MHz typical.

Single and dual frequency transducers are available in standard and bespoke designs.

RoHS compliant versions are also available on request.

Transducers and components for High Intensity Focused ultrasound (HIFU) therapy can also be designed and manufactured. These transducers are increasingly used as experimental cancer treatments.

We offer stacked transducers (also known as langevin or tonpilz transducers) for surgical and arthroscopic use, custom designed to precisely match customer requirements and electronic generator equipment.

Operating frequency: in range 20 – 80 kHz

Power: up to 200W

Displacement: 10 – 20μm

We offer stacked transducers (also known as langevin or tonpilz transducers) for dental use, custom designed to precisely match customer requirements and electronic generator equipment.

Operating frequency: in range 20 – 80 kHz. (30 KHz is typical for dental transducers)

Power: up to 200W

Displacement: 10 – 20μm

We can customise transducers to meet a variety of handpiece and generator configurations. Higher power, displacement and alternative operating frequencies can also be supplied.

Typical Dental Ultrasonic Transducer applications include:
